Smith "Leigh" HUNT110 was born on 11 August 1855 in Whitley Co., IN.60 He died on 5 October 1933 in NV.110 He called himself Leigh Hunt and after a short career as a school teacher and administrator in IN and IA, president of the Iowa Agricultural College, he went to Seattle, WA, in 1888 and bought that city's two newspapers, Post and Intelligencer, combined the two and made a fortune which he lost in the panic of 1893. Following that he went to China and Korea and formed the Oriental Consolidated Mining Company through which he made another fortune, went over to the Nile River in Egypt and the Sudan where he started an irrigation system and cotton business. Then he came back home to Nevada where he was active in mining and land development. They had only two children.

Smith "Leigh" HUNT and Jessie NOBLE were married. Jessie NOBLE60 was born (date unknown). Daughter of a wealthy Iowa barbed wire manufacturer.
