629. Elijah GIBBS was born in 1836 in Knox Co., TN. He served in the military enlisted on 13 August 1862 in Hamilton Co., IL. In Hamilton County, Illinois 26 year old Elijah Gibbs enrolled August 13, 1862, in Co. K the 110th Illinois Infantry under the command of Colonel Thomas S. Casey and Captain Harper . Gibbs mustered in at Camp Anna, Illinois the lst day of September 1862. He reported “present” on the company rolls of October 31, 1862, which added that he had been left sick at Nashville December 26, 1862. Possibly too ill to notice that his company had moved on , he died December 27, 1862 of chronic diarrhoia contracted “while on the campaign through Ky and Tenn..” He died of chronic diarrhea on 27 December 1862 in Nashville, Davidson Co., TN. 5 feet 5 inches tall, light hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, 26 years old in 1862.

Elijah GIBBS and Priscilla TAYLOR were married on 14 December 1855 in Hamilton Co., IL. Married by Elijah T. Webb, M. G.
Priscilla TAYLOR died about 1902 in Franklin Co., IL. Probably died at the home of her daughter, Mrs, J. W. Conner.
