Glenn GRAVES805 was born on 6 August 1885 in Guilford, Nodaway Co., MO.805 He died in 1953 in Sumner, Pierce Co., WA.805 He was buried in 1953 in Sumner Cemetery, Sumner, WA.805 Glenn moved to Converse Co., WY in 1922 to homestead near his parents. Glenn then married Lillie Fields Gwartney in the late 1920's. She was a widow with 8 children. They had 2 more children of their own.
Glenn had horses and one of the teams, Maude and Prince, was used in the State Fairs in competition in the log pulling contests, etc. They were a majestic team and well trained. Many was the time they found the way home during the blinding blizzards and return trips from town pulling the wagon full of commodities.
As the years passed, Lillie managed to save a hundred dollars. She packed their belongings and the family headed to California and later to Washington where Glenn became employed at the Seattle-Tacoma shipyards.
