John Hay BROWN⁷⁹⁹ was born on 19 July 1896 in Baldwin CIty, Douglas Co., KS.⁷⁹⁹ He was living in 1953 in Bethany, Oklahoma Co., OK.⁷⁹⁹ After the death of his mother he was adopted by a family named BROWN. In 1921 he started working for the Postal service as a rural carrier at Stillwater, OK, transferred to Hennessey, OK in 1920, and to Kingfisher, OK in 1932, where he served until he retired 18 Nov 1953. He ran a key, lawnmower and bicycle shop after that.

John Hay BROWN and Oma Stella FRY were married on 25 December 1924 in Stillwater, Payne Co., OK.⁷⁹⁹ Oma Stella FRY died in October 1929 in Stillwater, Payne Co., OK.⁷⁹⁹
