Webb, 82, a native of Owen County and formerly of Frankfort, died Oct. 26, 2006, at St. Mary's and Elizabeth Hospital, Louisville, following a brief illness. Born Aug. 30, 1924, the son of the late Ernest B. and Wavie B. Olds Webb, he was a United States World War II Army veteran. He was retired from the Greater Louisville Lawn Service, of which he was the previous owner. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Old Cedar Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Berlye Hudson Webb of Louisville; a son, Ronald T. Webb of Louisville; two daughters, Sharon Ann Dempsey of Frankfort and Marie K. Burns of Louisville; a step-son, Mike Jung of Louisville; two step-daughters, Laurie Cowden of Shelbyville and Tonya R. Carmack of Louisville; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest J. Webb. Funeral services were held Oct. 31 at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bob Karsner officiating. Burial was in Monterey Cemetery. Bearers were Danny Dempsey, Greg Dempsey, Todd Dempsey, Shane Vanoy, Josh Irwin and Chuck Mivelaz. Honorary bearers were Brenton Vanoy and Ronnie Geer.
