Leonard Johnson, 81, Monterey, died Monday at his home. He was a farmer and carpenter, and he worked as a security guard for the state highway department for 20 years. He was a member of Monterey Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Johnson; a son, Scotty Johnson of Frankfort; daughters, Sue Chisholm and Myra Lee Wilhoite, both of Monterey, and Donna Dean Johnson of Versailles; a sister, Ottie Miller of Owen County; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home, Owenton. Visitation will be there from 4 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery. 
He was buried on 13 April 1995 in Monterey Cemetery, Owen Co., KY.

Mary Helen Mosgrove Johnson, 83, of Owenton, died Monday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She retired from Fruit of the Loom and was a member of Monterey Baptist Church where she played the organ.Her husband, Leonard Johnson, preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Wesley Scott Johnson of Monterey; daughters, Sue Chisholm of Monterey, Myra Lee Duvall of Worthville and Donna Dean Johnson of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; sister, Joann Mullins of Mabank, Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McDonald & New Funeral Home, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Monterey Baptist Church or the Monterey Cemetery Fund.   She was buried on 23 July 2003 in Monterey Cemetery, Owen Co., KY.
