530. James REYNOLDS was born about 1676 in Essex Co., VA. He signed a will on 8 February 1723 in Essex Co., VA.433 Will of James Reynolds Wills & c., No 4, 1722-1730, Essex Co., Virginia In the Name of God Amen. I James Rennolds Senior Being Ancient & Casy but of perfect health & memory God be praised I do hereby appoint this to be my Last Will & Testament as followeth: First I commit my body to the Ground from whence it was taken there to be decently buried & my Spirit to the hands of the Almighty God that gave it to me, through Jesus Christ my Lord Saviour 2ndly I give unto my beloved Son James Rennolds half this Divident of Land it being five hundred acres where he now dwelleth and two negroes Viz. Billy & Jane which he hath in possession and five pounds. 3ly I give unto my beloved wife two thirds of my estate real and personal according to the law and the Chest of Drawers. 4ly I give unto my beloved son Benja. Rennolds and my grandson William Rennolds the other half of the Divident to be equally divided between them, only my son Benjamin to have the first choice whereas I Give unto my son Benja. Rennolds that Land up at my negro quarter where Toney and Coll dwelleth together with four negroes, three of them workers to him and his heirs forever. 5ly I give unto my beloved daughter Violetta Rennolds two negroes at the day of her Marriage and one of them a worker to her and her heirs forever - Carried over. 6ly I give unto my Daughter Hannah Rennolds two negroes at the day of her Marriage & one of them a Worker to her and her heirs forever. 7ly I give to my Daughter Susannah Rennolds two negroes at the day of her Marriage and one of them a Worker to her and her heirs forever. 8ly I give unto my son Joseph Rennoldsall my lands in Gloster and two negroes, one of them a worker and the age of one twenty to him and his heirs forever. 9ly and if any of you should dye without your lawfully begotten or born of their own bodys then to fall to the next male heir. 10ly I constitute and appoint my two Sons James Rennolds & Benja. Rennolds Sole Executors to this my Last Will & Testament. 11ly I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth Banks on Gold ring her part before 12ly and all my other moveables to be equally divided amongst my three girls and two boys 13ly I give unto God Son Andrew Rennolds one negroe at the age of one & twenty.
