Trout, 6741 W. Lincoln Ave, Spa #117, Buena Park, CA. 90620-1154, (714)761-1154, May 20, 1992. The following note is by Alice Roberts Fobister, page 280 of her book. "He was born in a small village in the wine country of Landou in the town of Kleinflischlingen, Germany. His first wife was Maria Appolonia Sleinllin and his first children were listed in the Church book of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kkeinflschlingen, Rheinland-Plaz, Germany and are listed as seven children. All of them came with him on the long journey to America, they signed on with the Hope Shipping Co. of England on the ship "Winter Galley". The ship sailed out from Rotterdam, Holland and on 1 July they reshipped for Philadelphia, PA and they arrived on 5 Sep 1738 with 252 other passengers. The first Trout emigrant, his wife, his wife died and on 23 Jan 1739 he was married a second time by Rev. Caspar Stover to Maria Magdalene Walter in Strawsburg. They had seven more children. He acquired land and had an "Old Place" and when he died in 1760 he gave all his children land and money. His sone Michael (1730-1780) my gggg-grandfather recieved 5 pounds. His wife Maria Magdaline died (1717-1760) and are buried in the township of Lancaster." Maria Appolonia STEINLIN and Johan Wendel George TRAUT were married in 1722 in Germany.396 Children listed in the Church Book of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 569. Maria Appolonia STEINLIN was born in 1689 in Rhineland, Germany.395 She died in 1738 at the age of 49 in Kleifischlingen, Rheinland-Pfalz.324,395 Believed to be Wendel Traut's first wife.
