"John TARTER was born about 1762 in Pennsylvania.(51) He died before Jun 1850 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. (51) John Tarter had 73 acres of land surveyed in Montgomery County, Virginia , 26 April, 1790. Sometime before 1800 he moved to Burke County, North Carolina. In 1810 or 1811 he moved to Pulaski County, Kentucky to join his brothers. He died in 1850, and an
administrator of his estate was appointed at the June term of court." Catherine (?) and John TARTER Sr. were married in Lincoln Co., NC.
