1681. Arthur Calloway CLAPP⁴⁶² was born on 26 January 1884. He died on 24 November 1958 in Knoxville, Knox Co., TN.⁴⁶² Buried in Greenwood Cemetery. Worked in North Gay Street barber shops, Knoxville, from 1906 until his retirement n 1952. A native of Athens, he worked for many years as an organizer for the Barber's International Union. He was Secretary-Treasurer for the Union for 36 years. Arthur played professional baseball for several years in the old Georgia-Florida League, competing against the great Ty Cobb during that time. He made his home in Nashville during his professional baseball playing days. He was a member and lifetime steward of Central Methodist Church and a member of Walkup-Wesley Bible class there. Arthur and Ella celbrated there 50th wedding anniversary in Oct 1956. A daughter, Mrs. C.V. Burns was listed in the obituary as still living.

Arthur Calloway CLAPP and Ella Mary WOOD were married on 17 October 1906. Ella Mary WOOD⁴⁶³ was born on 2 April 1884. She died on 15 August 1972 in Erlanger, Kenton Co., KY.⁴⁶³ Buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville, TN. Ella was a charter member of Central United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
