Paul C. Clapp, 85, of St. Paul died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at Waldron Health & Rehab Center in Waldron.
Born July 16, 1923, in Shelby County, he was the son of E. Gordon and Elsie (Fezzell) Clapp. He married June Hanson on March 27, 1948, and she survives.
Other survivors include his sons, Rick (wife, Beverly) Clapp of Bargersville and Tim (wife, Kim) Clapp of Nashville; daughters, Diane (husband, Morris) Bolin of Columbus and Sandia (husband, Rolla) Hendrickson of Lakeport, Ga.; brother, Glen (wife, Florence) Clapp of St. Paul; sister, Ruth Ryle of Greensburg; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Mr. Clapp was a lifelong resident of the St. Paul area.
He had been a line foreman, in quality control, at Knauf Fiber Glass for 33 years, retiring in 1984.
Mr. Clapp was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 70 in Shelbyville, St. Paul Kiwanis Club in St. Paul, and the former St. Paul Odd Fellows.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St. in St. Paul.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dave Galbraith officiating.
Burial will be in Paul Hill Cemetery in St. Paul.
