The children listed in their home in the 1830 census were her sister, Esther and William Peterson's children as stated in the will of Absalom Rutherford, their names were James, WIlliam and Anna Peterson. The journal of WIlliam Carroll Graves, written within one year of Anna's death stated that they had no children. George GRAVES72 was born in 1785 in NC.72 He appeared in the census in 1850 in Knox Co., TN.72 He signed a will on 2 May 1859 in Knox Co., TN.73 George died on 25 June 1860 in TN.72 Will proven for name at place on date.73 During his lifetime he owned and operated a grist mill at Graveston, TN and served as a Justice of the Peace in Knox County, TN. According to the 1850 census for Knox County, Tennessee, George was engaged in a variety of businesses, including a grist mill, a sawmill, and perhaps even the distilling of whiskey.
