208. Archibald S. RUTHERFORD⁴⁸ was born in October 1793 in Lincoln Co., KY.²⁵ He appeared in the census in 1830 in Logan Co., KY.⁴⁸ He signed a will on 6 October 1882 in Randolph Co., MO.⁴⁸ He mentions sons Henry Clay and Charlton; daughters Mary Jane McCall and Nannie B. Belsher; and Archie Clemson and W. C. McCall who were grandsons.
Archibald died in 1883 in Randolph Co., MO.²⁵ Will proven for name at place on date.⁴⁸ Archibald was mustered into service in the company of Capt. Thomas Lewis in the Kentucky Militia during the War of 1812. He was drilled and trained for 21 days in Fayette Co., KY and was then discharged from service after he hired a substitute.
He left KY after 1830 and entered a tract of 80 acres of land in Randolph Co., MO, 20 Jan 1836. He was one of the pioneers of Salt Spring Twp. in Randolph Co., MO.

Archibald S. RUTHERFORD and Rachel EMPSON were married on 2 September 1814 in Jessamine Co., KY.⁴⁸ Rachel EMPSON was born about 1795.⁴⁸ She died after 1840.⁴⁸
