GRAHAM - Mrs. Betsy Starr McPherson, 65, of 514 McGee St. died July 10, 1992, at her home.
Funeral will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church of Graham, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery.
A native of Alamance County, she was a former office manager and bookkeeper and was former owner of Betsy's Crafts.
Surviving are husband, John Lee McPherson; daughter, Mrs. Beth McPherson Grissman of Pomona, Calif.; sons, Don McPherson of Burlington, Worth McPherson of Graham; sisters, Mrs. Aylease Bowman of Graham, Mrs. LaRue Benson of Burlington; brother, John S. Starr of Greensboro; five grandchildren.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Graham 7-9 tonight.
She was buried in July 1992 in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Graham, Alamance Co., NC.

John Lee “Pops” McPherson
GRAHAM — John Lee “Pops” McPherson, 76, of Etowah, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Pardee Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Alamance County and lived in Graham, N.C. most of his life spending the past seven years in Etowah and Graham, N.C. He was the son of Imogene Moser McPherson of Burlington, N.C. and the late John H. McPherson. He was preceded in death by his first wife Betsy Starr McPherson who died in 1992. He worked for the North Carolina Department of Transportation as a Highway Engineer for 40 years, retiring in 1987. He was a leader in the Boy Scouts of America Cherokee Council for 25 years, past member of Graham Exchange Club, and member of the Alamance County Senior Golf Association. He was an Associate member of Cummings Memorial United Methodist Church in Horseshoe, N.C. and member of First United Methodist Church in Graham, N.C.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his loving wife Betty Richardson McPherson; two sons Don “Bolt” McPherson of Burlington, N.C. and Worth McPherson and his wife Debbie of Graham, N.C.; one daughter Rev. Beth Crissman and her husband Rev. Kelly Crissman of Asheville; five stepdaughters, Carol Hill and her husband Jeff, Debbie Golebiowski and her husband Danny, Robin Farr and her husband Hollis, Sandy Kuffel and her husband Larry, and Nancy Bradford and her husband Alan; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild 12 stepgrandchildren and three great-stepgrandchildren; one sister Ellen Huffines and her husband Grover and two nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 30, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Graham, N.C. with the Rev. Paul Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 PM at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors and on Friday from 7 to 9 PM at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, N.C.
