Daniel "David" CLAPP and Sarah RUTHERFORD⁴⁷² were married on 25 March 1817 in Knox Co., TN.^{328,337,472,473} Name in record book is David Clapp, but this is Daniel. Descendants of this couple include Roy Acuff, Country and Western entertainer and a star of the Grand Ole Opry; Millard F. Caldwell, Jr., Governor of Florida, 1945-1949, then a Justice of the Florida Supreme Court from 1962 to 1969. Daniel and Sarah had seven children. Sarah RUTHERFORD, daughter of Absalom RUTHERFORD and Mary MCBRIDE, was born in 1791 in TN.³³¹ Rutherford book has 1799, near House Mountain, page 1083.
