GRAHAM — Beatrice Joyce Martin Clapp , 96, of 114 Franklin Street Graham NC 27253 , went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday October 11, 2010 after several years of declining health & three weeks of critical illness at Hospice Home of Alamance.
Born in Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late William Martin and Carrie Fuller Martin. She was married for over 57 years to the late Hoyle Nash Clapp. She had ten children who loved her dearly. She was the center of their world. There was no one like momma. She was a devoted mother and homemaker always putting family first. Children include Patricia Mitchell and Late husband Frank of Burlington, the Late Larry Clapp, Tony Clapp and wife Sylvia of Virginia, Gloria Clark and Late husband Lonnie of Burlington, Freddie Clapp and wife Linda of Graham, Steve Clapp and wife Linda of Snow Camp, Darlene Alderman and husband Roger of Burlington, Darrell Clapp of Burlington, Rita Clayton and Late husband Wilbur of Graham, and Keith Clapp of Graham. Beatrice also had 28 Grandchildren, 48 Great Grandchildren, and 12 Great Great Grandchildren, all of whom loved and adored her. She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and taught Sunday school at Community Baptist Church leaving a lasting impression on all the kids who knew her as "Granny" and still love her. She was a dedicated member that loved her Pastor and church family who knew her as "Honey Bea".

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday October 15, 2010 at Belmont Baptist Church in Burlington NC with Rev. Larry Janey.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday October 14, 2010 at McClure Funeral Home in Graham NC other times at the residence
