Alonzo B. CLAPP and Bertha L. "Bertie" ROMINGER were married in IN. Bertha L. "Bertie" ROMINGER, daughter of William T. ROMINGER and Martha ELROD, was born on 1 December 1872 in Bartholomew Co., IN.²²⁶ She died on 27 January 1938 at the age of 65 in Hartsville, Bartholomew Co., IN.²²⁶ She was buried in January 1938 in Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus, IN.²²⁶

He was in the Navy 31 1/2 years and had been on the West Coast. The body was brought to Hope, IN. He was survived by Garret and aunts; Mrs. William Wilson of Hartsville and Mrs. A. M. McHaffey of Columbus.
