Buried in the Palestine Cemetery, Palestine Cemetery, Darke Co., Ohio. "History of Darke Co., Ohio" (Beers, 1880), page 263: "Darke County from 1816 to 1824..In the northern part of German Twp. lived Ludwig Clapp, reputed credulous and superstitious...." German Twp. is now Liberty Twp.

Elizabeth FRIDDLE, daughter of Henry FRIDDLE and Barbara LEWIS, was born on 13 April 1794 in Hillsborough, Orange Co., NC.^199,200 She appeared in the census in 1880 in German Twp., Darke Co., OH.²⁰¹ Living with son, Henry, in 1880;
Elizabeth CLAPP Mother F W W 85 NC Fa: NC Mo: NC She died on 28 April 1891 at the age of 97 in Losantville, Randolph Co., IN.²⁰² Cause of death listed as Apoplexy at 97.
