4535. Peter Priestly TROXLER was born on 15 February 1844 in NC.¹⁰⁶¹ He served in the military in 1861 in NC.²⁰⁰¹ Peter served during the Civil War in the N.C. Junior Reserves 4th Battalion, Co., B. he enrolled on May 24, 1861 at Camp Holmes and was furloughed Sep. 22, 1864 for 21 days for acute bronchitis. Peter's height was recorded as 5' 5 1/2", and he had a dark complexion with red hair and gray eyes. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Boon Station, Alamance Co., NC.
