Margaret Clapp Conrad, 79, recently of Cabarete, Dominican Republic, passed away Thursday November 12th after suffering a heart attack during her sunset walk on the beach.
A reception for family and friends will be held at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home at 306 Glenwood Ave in Burlington on Saturday, November 21st from 1:00PM until 2:00PM, followed by a memorial service in the Chapel with Reverend Steve Brasswell from Graham Presbyterian Church officiating. Margaret (Peg) will be laid to rest next to her son John, in Alamance Memorial Park at 4039 S. Church St. at 4:00PM.
Surviving are brother, Bill Clapp of Kingsport, TN, brother, George Clapp of Burlington, NC, son, Rick Conrad of Oxnard, CA, daughter Catherine Garrison of Southport, NC, grandsons Avery Tuell of Virginia Beach, VA and Justin Clark of Toronto, Canada, grand-daughter Raegan Agbulos of Chesapeake, VA, great grand-daughter Olivia Agbulos of Chesapeake, VA and all of the thousands of souls that she touched around the world.
The family will gather at the home of George Clapp at 1426 McCuiston Drive in Burlington following the graveside service.
She was buried on 21 November 2009 in Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance Co., NC. Margaret is the Dept. Head of a medical school according to E. Clapp book page 120.
