Born August 18, 1914 in Noble Township, she was the daughter of Cleophus and Ludemia (Bentley) Mount. She married Roy Lee Clapp on Feb. 7, 1937, and he preceded her in death on March 28, 1979. Survivors include one son Donald L. (wife, Alice) Clapp of St. Paul, one brother George (wife, Mabel) Mount of Greensburg, four grandsons Michael Clapp, Anthony Clapp, Douglas (wife, Carol) Clapp and Gregory Clapp. Also 5 great-grandchildren Erika Cooper, Faith Clapp, Joshua Clapp, Karina Clapp and Alyssa Clapp. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse and brother James Mount. She was a lifetime resident of this area and had been a factory worker at GE/Wellmans of Shelbyville for more than 20 years. She graduated from Waldron High School and was a lifetime member of Wesley Chapel Church, where she belonged to the Women's Ministry Society and had been a member of the Decatur County Home Ec Club. Agnes loved quilting and listening to audio books. Funeral service will be on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul with visitation on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Rev. David Little will officiate. Burial will be at Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County. Memorials can be made to the Gideons International or to the Clapp Memorial Fund at Indiana Wesleyan University in care of the funeral home.
