Lillian Allene FARRINGTON, daughter of Henry A. FARRINGTON and Cora L. SMITH, was born on 24 December 1917 in Guilford Co., NC. She died on 16 January 2008 at the age of 90 in Liberty Commons Nursing Center, Burlington, Alamance Co., NC. Mrs. Lillian Allene Clapp, 90 of Frieden Church Rd. McLeansville passed away Wednesday January 16, 2008 at Liberty Commons Nursing Center in Burlington.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 12:30 PM at McLeansville Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Lillian was born December 24, 1917 in Guilford County, NC to the late Henry A. & Cora L. Smith Farrington. She was a longtime member of McLeansville Baptist Church and was also a member of the churches Happy Hearts Club and the Adult 1 Sunday School Class. Lillian was a great Mom and Grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter & sons-in-law, Carolyn Faye & R.V. Tadlock of Summerfield, Betty Jo & Bobby Scoggins of Gibsonville and daughter Linda Lawson of Madison. Sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry A. & Margaret Clapp and Gary V. & Carolyn Clapp all of Gibsonville. 14 grandchildren , 26 great grandchildren & 6 great- great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Julius Vance “Pete” Clapp , grandson Michael Dean Scoggins, and sisters, Lilly, Maggie, Audrey, Nell, & Josie and her brother David.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday at McLeansville Baptist Church.
