He died on 26 February 2005 at the age of 87 in Ashford Place Health Campus, Shelbyville, Shelby Co., IN. He was buried on 2 March 2005 in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, Shelby Co., IN. Visitation was on Tuesday at Carmony-Ewing, Harrison Street Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Services were held on Wednesday at the Evangelical United Church of Christ, 2630 Miller St. in Shelbyville. Bob was a lifetime farmer, raising cattle, and also had been employed by General Electric Co. from 1953 to 1980 as a machinist. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII, serving in England, India and South Africa. He was a 75 year member of Evangelical United Church of Christ.
