Judge Andrew York TROGDON¹⁰⁸⁹, son of Samuel TROGDON and Ellender SWAFFORD, was born on 8 July 1833 in Edgar Co., IL.^1088,1089 He died in 1910 at the age of 77 in Paris, Edgar Co., IL.¹⁰⁸⁸ He went to Iowa and in 1855, he went into Minnesota and farmed (Northwest Territory) and then returned to go into the legal profession. He worked for the firm of Usher and Patterson in Terre Haute, IN and was admitted to the bar in 1858. He returned to Paris, IL to practice. He was elected County Judge in 1865 and re-elected in 1877. He was elected City Mayor in 1870.
