Ellen Olivia GRAVES was born on 19 February 1860 in Glenwood, Mills Co., IA.1273,2210 She appeared in the census in 1880 in Scott Twp., Fremont Co., IA.2210 Living with her brother, Alexander, in 1880; Ellen Olivia GRAVES and Alonzo "Lon" LACY were married.2214 Alonzo "Lon" LACY died in May 1935. OBITUARY Alonzo Lacy, well known to many early residents of this part of Cass county, passed away Saturday at his home in Omaha, at the age of 79 years. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., and interment in Forest Lawn cemetery in Omaha. Lon, as he was familiarly known, was a son of George W. Lacy, one of the pioneer settlers in the town of Rock Bluffs, and it was there that he was a pupil of the late Joseph D. Patterson in "Naomi Institute" in 1871, and later was a pupil of the late Judge B.S. Ramsey, and a schoolmate of the younger Jones and Pattersons. He was married to Miss Ellen O. Graves of the pioneer families of Rock Bluffs, and later they located in Omaha where the wife passed away November 14, 1896. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Nichols, Mrs. James Watson and Mrs. O.H. Shelly, and one son, Maurice A. Lacy, all residing in Omaha.
