Homer, son, M, W, 3, S, TN, TN, TN He was living on 5 May 1978 in Corryton, Knox Co., TN. Homer died on 7 January 1998 at the age of 81 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. THOMAS, HOMER - age 81, of Corryton, passed away 6:56 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 1998, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Member of Little Flat Creek Baptist Church, retired from Reeder Chevrolet. Preceded in death by wife, Mabel Clapp Thomas; parents, Issac and Glennie Thomas. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jack Huddleston; granddaughter, Jackie Huddleston; great-granddaughters, Emily Branch and Mariah Walker; sister and brother-in-law, Lorena and Buster DeVault; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Beryle and Frances Clapp; sisters-in-law, Ruth Clapp and Gladys Clapp; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Carl and Bobbye Satterfield and Red and Robin Atkins. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday at Little Flat Creek Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the church, Rev. Wayne Roach and Rev. Jerry Baltimore officiating. Interment in church cemetery. Pallbearers: Lynn Clapp, Larry Clapp, Danny Clapp, Kevin Roach, Brad West and Rodney Satterfield. Honorary pallbearers: Beryle Clapp, John Watson, Tobe Julian, Charles Zachary, Gary Acuff, Red Atkins, Tony Harrell, Walter Hughes, Charles Clapp, Raymond Simmons, Doc Bailey, Will Holman, Frank Smallman, Newell DeVault and Dr. Mark Pritcher. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at Broadway.
