James Newton "Newt" ALBRIGHT and Jessie BUTLER1777 were married on 31 October 1889.1777 "Sometime around 1900 Newt and Jessie, their two children, and Newt's younger brother, Joe, left the Kokomo area and traveled by covered wagon to Lake Ann in Bensie County, Michigan, where they settled on a farm rich in timberland. They were later joined by other brothers and their families. At one time, Ed, Laura and their son Perle, and George, Nora and son Dallas, and Joe and his wife Dora all lived with Newt and Jessie and their two children. After a time each brother, Ed, George, and Joe, bought his own farm further down the road. All eventually returned to Indiana except Newt and his family who spent the rest of their lives in the Traverse City and Detroit areas of the state.
