Goldie Hill became one of the few female country singers on the charts that year, like her Kitty Wells, who gained success the previous year. Goldie Hill remained on the charts with a few solid follow-ups after the success of "I Let the Stars Get in My Eyes". These hits were mainly duets like "Looking Back to See" and "Sure Fire Kisses", both duets with Justin Tubb. Other hit singles were "Are You Mine", a duet with Red Sovine and "I'm Beginning to Feel Mistreated", which was a solo single by Hill.
