Irene E. Plank, 70, Nixa, died at 4:23 p.m. Friday in Cox North Medical Center. She was a longtime Christian County resident and a member of the Nixa First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Rexford A. Plank, Sr.; two sons, Rexford A., Jr., Dixon, and Michael R., St. Louis; one daughter, Frances Jo Boyts, Springfield; one sister, Lucy Haguewood, Nixa; one brother, Oliver Lee Page, Ozark; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were Tuesday in Greenlawn South with the Rev. Tommy Bilyeu officiating. Burial was in Springfield National Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Springfield Dialysis Patient Fund, Cox Medical Center North, c/o Jill Kirby, 1423 N. Jefferson, Springfield, 65802. Irene was buried on 2 January 1990 in Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
