Frank, Jr., son, M, W, 4 4/12, S, TN, KY, NC He died on 22 February 1935 at the age of 46 in TN.²⁷⁴⁵ Frank was buried in February 1935 in Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville, Knox Co., TN.²⁷⁴⁵ Frank was educated in Knoxville public schools. He engaged in newspaper work as a reporter for Knoxville papers for 8 years. In 1912 he was elected to the 59th General Assembly, at which time he was only 23 years old and he was also elected to the 60th General Assembly. During his second term in that body he was minority leader of the House and was instrumental in the passage of reform tax legislation. he was responsible for the West-Levine bill, the intermediate sentence law and other important legislation. he was a member of the Knox County road commission. In 1916 Frank enlisted for service on the Mexican border. He was a First Lieutenant and adjutant of the Third TN Infantry and while in service was elected county tax assessor by the largest majority ever given a candidate with opposition in Knox County. He resigned his commission and filled that office until the entrance into WWI. For some time he held a commission of Major in the National Guard but he gave that up to enlist as a private in the Regular Army. He was sent to Camp Gordon, GA for training and promoted to Second Lieutenant. He was on his way to France when the armistice was signed. he returned to Knoxville in 1920 and was reelected county tax for a term of four years.

Frank Lonzo WEST Sr. and Minnie Katherine HODGES were married on 27 February 1915 in Knoxville, Knox Co., TN. Minnie Katherine HODGES, daughter of Charles F HODGES, was born on 16 October 1891 in NC. She died on 20 November 1932 at the age of 41 in TN.²⁷⁴⁵ She was buried in November 1932 in Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville, Knox Co., TN.²⁷⁴⁵
