He flew crop dusters after the war and then worked for the Forest Fire Patrol during the summers. Chauncey Duane CLAPP and Mildred Marie REED were married on 27 August 1939 in Lordsburg, Hidalgo Co., NM.848 Mildred Marie REED848, daughter of Walter REED and Lilian SLOVER, was born on 21 July 1920 in Willcox, Cochise Co., AZ.848 She died on 5 December 2001 at the age of 81 in Tucson, Pima Co., AZ.848 Mildred attended elementary school in WIllcox, AZ and high school at Wasatch Academy in Utah where she competed on the track team setting the Utah girls 40 yard dash record.
