9887. Perry Ivan GRAVES was born on 11 July 1892 in Rock Bluffs, Cass Co., NE. He died on 24 July 1963 at the age of 71 in Plattsmouth, Cass Co., NE. Perry Ivan Graves served as a volunteer instructor on a dollar a year basis during WW 1 and was considered to the rank of First Lieutenant. He saw service in Alaska and Mexico. During WW II, he worked at the Martin Plant. At one time he was Police Magistrate at Plattsmouth, Nebraska. He played the violin made by his father, Alvin Sherad Graves. Perry was welterweight boxing champion of the world, having won the championship from Jack Britian in 1914. He won and lost the championship 3 times. He fought under the name of "Kid Graves". He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the First Christian Church.

Perry Ivan GRAVES and Kathryn T. "Kitty" BROSMAN were married in August 1913 in Yakima, Yakima Co., WA. Kathryn T. "Kitty" BROSMAN was born on 19 September 1892 in Brooklyn, New York, NY. She died on 12 February 1975 at the age of 82.
