HARRY E. GRAVES, NEWSPAPERMAN DIES AT LINCOLN

Harry E. Graves, son of Judge Charles L. Graves of Plattsmouth, died at Lincoln Saturday , October 27, 1951. He was 62 years old. A native of the Plattsmouth community, Mr. Grave s had been suffering from cancer for the past year. He had been a Linotype operator on the Li ncoln Journal staff for the past 25 years. Surviving besides his father, are his wife, Cle o, and daughter, Mrs H.F. Nelson, sisters, Mrs. Michael Derieg and Mrs. Harry Royal, all of L incoln; two granddaughters and two great granddaughters. Born at Union, he got his start i n the newspaper business with his father on the Union Ledger. Later he published the Murray I tems and for a short time was employed on the Plattsmouth Journal. Funeral services were h eld Monday afternoon at 3:30 at Wadlows in Lincoln with Rev. J.J. Sheaff officiating. Buria l was in Wyuka cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. James Graves and Perry Graves of Plattsmouth departe d early Monday morning to attend services.(Plattsmouth Journal, Monday October 29, 1951, pg 1 , Plattsmouth, Nebraska.)
