GRUBB, CLAYTON LAVON - age 87 of Knoxville, entered Heaven Tuesday, November 29, 2005, 4:10 a.m. at Claiborne County Hospital. He was a native of Union County, the son of the late Parley G. and Fannie Clapp Grubb, sister, Geneva Tindell also preceded him in death. He was baptized at Norwood Baptist Church in 1952. Mr. Grubb was a veteran of WWII having served in the 49th Finance Section in the 5th Army Headquarters in Africa, Italy and Europe. A graduate of Knoxville Business College, he was retired from the Feed and Seed Business. Survivors include: his wife, Gladys Wood Grubb; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bob Robinette, Norma and Bill Binks; son and daughter-in- law, C. Duayne and Wanda Grubb; 6 grandchildren and spouses, Kevin and Monica Grubb, Darian and Yolanda Grubb, Joel and Rebecca Robinette, Karen Robinette, Patrick Binks and Andrew Binks; 2 great grandchildren, Kearsten and Collin Grubb; nephews, Jim and Kenneth Fox. Service 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain City, Rev. Irby Russell officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m., Friday, Greenwood Cemetery for interment service at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
