Grandmother of Mrs. J. E. Garrett Died Friday
Mrs. W. P. Isley, grandmother of Mrs. J. E. Garrett of this place, died last Friday, April 18, at her home at Excelsior Springs, Mo. She was born February 5, 1852, the daughter of the late Jerry and P---- Clapp, of the Brick church neighborhood near Burlington.
She was married to William Preston Isley in 1867 and moved to Holt, Mo. in 1870. She is survived by one brother, George Clapp, of Council Grove, Kansas; one son. S. J. Isley, of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and was the mother of the late Mrs. Jesse Tickle, who is survived by four children, grandchildren of Mrs. Isley: Mrs. J. E. Garrett, of Burlington; Miss Grace Tickle, of Jacksonville, Ill., Homer Tickle, of Birmingham. Ala., and Richard Tickle, Minneapolis, Minn.: and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Holt, Mo. last Sunday. Sarah was buried on 20 April 1930 in Holt, Holt Co., MO.
