Philipena "Penia" SWING and John George FOUST were married on 26 August 1804 in Guilford Co., NC.¹³¹ Married in the Brick Church, Henry Diefenbach, M. G. George had a large farm near Knoxville, TN. His will was probated Feb 1849, Knoxville, TN. John George FOUST¹⁷¹, son of John FOUST and Anna Maria CLAPP, was born on 30 November 1775 in Orange Co., NC.¹³¹ He signed a will on 21 August 1845 in Knox Co., TN.¹⁷² He died in January 1848 at the age of 72 in Knox Co., TN.¹³¹ Will proven for name at place on date. Baptized at Brick Church, Guilford Co., NC. George was a resident of Knox Co., TN after moving there with his parents ca 1800. He was a farmer of considerable acreage in the northeastern part of the county, a few miles from Knoxville, TN. Children named in will - see page 80 Mozette Foust book.
