He died on 29 September 2008 in Whitsett, Guilford Co., NC. WHITSETT — Mr. Ferry "F.A." Clapp, Jr., 68, passed away Monday, Ferry "F.A." Clapp, Jr. A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Judith Willett Clapp, who survives, and the son of Ferry Augustus Clapp Sr. and Grace Zora Hoffman Clapp, both deceased. He was a machinist and a member of Mebane Street Church of Christ. In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lisa Clapp Ingle and husband, Darrell, Mrs. Sherry Clapp Bradshaw and husband, Keith, and Mrs. Carrie Clapp Craig, all of Gibsonville; six grandchildren, Sara Jo Ingle, Victoria Marie Bradshaw, Adriana Lynn Bradshaw, Nicholas Logan Hensley, Theodore Austin Craig and Brandy Leigh Craig; three brothers, Mr. Douglas Clapp and wife, Pat, of Liberty, Mr. Michael Clapp Sr. and wife, Dot, and Mr. Gerald Clapp and wife, Ronda, all of Whitsett; and a sister, Mrs. Brenda Wade and husband, Richard, of Whitsett. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Allie Ingle. The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Jerry Weldon. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m., and at other times they will be at the residence.
