WHITSETT - Betty Isley Barnhardt, 81, of 6477 Bellcross Trail, Whitsett, passed away at The Homeplace in Burlington on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 12:55 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Raymond Barnhardt and the daughter of the late Phillip Lee Isley and the late Martha Drucilla Shoffner Isley. Betty retired after 20 years of service from Alamance Regional Medical Center and 20 years of service at Burlington Industries as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne B. Manges and her husband Larry of Whitsett; three sons, Steve Barnhardt and his wife Rita of Burlington, David Barnhardt and his wife Donna of Belmont, and Bryant Barnhardt and his wife Janet of Matthews, N.C.; one sister, Pat Sears of Siler City; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Isley Smith.
The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Bill Zima. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
