77. David HUNT was born about 1767 in Rowan Co., NC.¹⁶ He served in the military between 1778 and 1783 in NC.¹⁶ Private in the NC Line. Subject of Pension application #S7049. He died on 20 January 1811 in Rowan Co., NC.¹⁶ Buried in the Hunt Family Cemetery on North Potts Creek, off Tyro Road, Rowan County, NC. David signed a will on 23 February 1811 in Rowan Co., NC.¹⁶ The will only mentioned only wife Sarah, son Gersham ("to have all my land, my Rifle Gun, and shot gun") and all children (not named) to share in money raised from sale of the rest of the estate. The estate was distributed in 1829. Will proven for name at place on date.¹⁶
