David Morris HUNT⁹⁷ was born on 21 September 1816 in Wayne Co., IN.⁹⁷ He died on 10 January 1894 in Boyne City, Charlevoix Co., MI.⁹⁷ He was buried in January 1894 in Griffin Cemetery, Northe Boyne, MI.⁹⁷ In 1854 he crossed the plains with three children and a second wife, name unknown. SHe died in childbirth near the present Twin Falls, ID. He taught school in Olympia, WA long enough to earn passage back to Michigan with his three children. THey returned in 1856 by way of San Francisco and Panama.

David Morris HUNT and Hannah Jackson HOLBROOK were married on 14 October 1841.⁹⁷ Hannah Jackson HOLBROOK was born in 1825.⁹⁷ She died in 1851.⁹⁷
