On 29 Dec 1798, with wife Margaret, he witnessed the Will of his brother-in-law the Rev. John Gano at Franklin Co., KY. In 1810 he gave bond for the marriage of his daughter Mary (Polly) to James McClellan in Fayette Co., KY.
