He participated in an engagement at Cane Hill, AR, 28 Nov 1862, and at Prairie Grove, AR, 7 Dec 1862. Sampson GRAVES and Elizabeth "Betsy" MOSER were married on 23 December 1855 in Buchanan Co., MO. Marriage Book B, Page 249. Joined in marriage by the undersigned Justice of the peace within and for Buchanan County Missouri on the 23 day of December 1835 Sampson Graves and Elizabeth Mosier.
