417. Sampson GRAVES⁹⁶ was born on 10 March 1825 in Tazewell, Claiborne Co., TN. He died on 17 July 1908 in Rantoul, Franklin Co., KS.⁹⁶ He was buried in July 1908 in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Rantoul, Franklin Co., KS.⁹⁶ Sampson enlisted 20 Sep 1862, as a private, Co. B, 13th Kansas Volunteer Infantry, was promoted to Corporal and served until discharged on 26 Jun 1865, at Little Rock, Arkansas. He participated in an engagement at Cane Hill, AR, 28 Nov 1862, and at Prairie Grove, AR, 7 Dec 1862.

Sampson GRAVES and Elizabeth "Betsy" MOSER were married on 23 December 1855 in Buchanan Co., MO. Marriage Book B, Page 249.
