Will proven for name at place on date. On March 5, 1776 in Fauquier County, Caleb deeded land to his son Joseph "for love and affection". On March 27, 1777 in Prince William County, he deeded land to his som James "for love and affection". Jesse and Isaac were witnesses to this deed. Calebs "WILL" was written July 25, 1777 in Prince William County, and proven there September 1778. James and also Sarah ( the wife of Caleb) were appointed executor and executrix and on September 1, 1778 Robert Warren posted bonds for them. Caleb named his children as follow:Isaac, who was in the war, Jeziah, Nimrod, Aaron, Benjamin, Nancy, Mary, Clary, Lettice, Chloe and Rebecca. James, Joseph and Jesse were not listed as heirs. James and Joseph had already recieved their share. Probably Jesse had also, but no deed has yet been located. On October 1, 1780 Jesse and his wife Nancy, Joseph and his wife Leannah: and Sarah sold Calebs' land. Isaac returned from the war as he appeared in court to prove the deed on August 4, 1783. NOTE: Caleb was in Dettingen Parish, Prince William County, Virginia after 1736 but before 1747. He was not on the 1736 Tax list, but was on the 1747 TAX LIST for Dettingen Parish. In 1770 he was on the Fauquier County, Virginia, RENT ROLL, and on the RENT ROLLS for Prince William County, in 1773 and 1777. 433. Sarah JOHNSON was born (date unknown).
