1918. Thaddeus Gamilia KLAPP was born on 6 November 1844 in NC.¹¹⁷⁰ He appeared in the census in 1860 in Dobbs District, Ballard Co., KY. Thadius G Clapp, 16, M, NC
He served in the military in March 1864 in KY. I March of 1864 he enlisted as a private in Company D, Thrid Kentucky, a moounted infantry regiment, and served in the Confederate Army until Nov, 1864. At the battle of harrisburg he was wounded. In 1880 Thaddeus was an a miller in Blandville, Ballard Co., KY.¹¹⁷⁰ He died on 2 March 1923 at the age of 78 in Hickman Co., KY. "Mr Klapp has followed farming and milling, together with the operation of threshing machines. In 1880 Mr. Klapp became a resident of Hickman County. Previously he had resided in what is now Carlisle County, then part of Ballard County.
