Mrs. Ella Nora Clapp Coble
Final rites for Mrs. Ella Nora Clapp Coble, 73, of route 1, Burlington
will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock at Lowe's Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Coble died yesterday morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs.
G C. Carden of Route 6, Burlington after several years of failing health
and a critical illness of one month.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Joel W.
Clapp and Mrs. Mary Ellen Johnson Clapp.
Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Coble of Route 1. Burlington; a
daughter, Mrs. G. C. Carden of Route 6, Burlington; a son, Bruce Coble
of Burlington; a sister, Mrs. L. M. Coble of Route 6, Burlington; a
brother, William S. Clapp of Sumnerdale, N.J.; four grandchildren and
four great grandchildren.
Rev. Donald E. Wooley, pastor of the church will conduct the funeral.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body was taken to the home of Mrs. Carden this afternoon where it
will remain until taken to the church to lie in state half hour prior to
the funeral. She was buried on 22 December 1959 in Low's Lutheran Cemetery, Guilford Co., NC.¹¹⁶⁸

Robert Lee Coble, 85, of Rt. 6, Burlington, died this morning at 1 o'clock at his home following one year of illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Joel S. and Mary Stanford Coble. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Ella Clapp Coble, who died in 1959, and was a member of Low's Lutheran Church in Kimesville. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. G. C. Carden of Rt. 6, Burlington, with whom he made his home; one son, Bruce B. Coble of Rt. 1, Burlington; our grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Final rites will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at Low's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Paul E. Moose, pastor will conduct the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will, receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock.
Robert was buried on 1 January 1967 in Low's Lutheran Cemetery, Guilford Co., NC.¹¹⁶⁸
