Mrs. Clapp Dies in Pennsylvania

Mrs. Mary E. Clapp, aged 74 years, died Monday at the home of her son,
Rev. W. S. Clapp, at Collegeville, Pa., following an illness of 6
months, Mrs. Clapp was born in Rockingham County, and was Miss Johnson
before marriage. She was the widow of the late Mr. Joel Clapp, who died
two years ago at the home near Brick church. She had been making her
home the past year with her son in Collegeville.
The body was brought here this morning to the Rich & Thompson funeral
home, and the funeral cortege left at 1 o'clock for Brick church, where
Mrs. Clapp had been a member most of her life. The services were
conducted at 2 o'clock by Rev. Mr. Hiatt and interment made in the
church cemetery.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Mrs. L. M. Coble,
Burlington, Route 1; Mrs. R. L. Coble, Burlington, Route 10; Rev. W. S.
Clapp; and J. M. Clapp, of Wyandotte, Mich.
Mary was buried on 1 September 1927 in Brick Church Cemetery, Guilford Co., NC.124 Buried in Brick Church Cemetery. Death date of Aug 1927 given in Brick Church records.
