John George CLAPP Sr. and Anna Elizabeth ALBRIGHT were married on 4 July 1766. Had seven children. It is said that George walked from NC to PA to marry Elizabeth and then they returned in a one horse wagon. Anna Elizabeth ALBRIGHT, daughter of John Christian ALBRIGHT and Elizabeth Gertrude RICK, was born on 15 May 1746 in Oley Twp., Berks Co., PA.²⁶ She died on 2 November 1839 at the age of 93 in Guilford Co., NC.²⁶ Notes: Elizabeth Albright, sister of Capt.
