17. George Tobias CLAPP Sr. was born on 18 January 1735 in Oley Twp., Berks Co., PA. He was christened on 30 May 1735 in Berks Co., PA. He died on 23 January 1800 at the age of 65. George signed a will on 23 January 1800 in Guilford Co., NC.24 "A:069 Tobias Clapp, Senr. Son Daniel - 137 ac where he lives and 65 ac from adj tract son Valentine - 200 ac of land on which he lives Son Philip - 114 ac on which he lives; as I value the land at $2 an ac, remainder of his inheritance be made up to him in money Wife Christina - third of remainder of land, 1 heifer, 1 steer, 1 horse, 12 hogs, 3 beds, spinning wheel, plough & geers for two horses, etc; and Negro Anny & her child Ishmel Son Tobias - $400 to make up for land I didn't give him Daus Elizabeth, Margaret, Magdelin, & Barbery - $400 each Sons George& Isaac - remaining land bought of Osbon, spring colt and stock of bees Remainder of slaves valued as follows: Dick - $200, Frank - $300, Bill - $200, Nelly - $200 Exrs: Son-in-law Henry Keck, friend Adam Starr Wits: Adam Starr, Jacob Grisson" He was buried in January 1800 in Brick Church Cemetery, Guilford Co., NC. Anna Maria "Mary" GLASS, daughter of John Philip GLASS and Anna Maria (?), was born on 9 December 1742 in Opequon, Orange Co., VA. She died on 9 October 1776 at the age of 33 in Guilford Co., NC.25 She was buried in October 1776 in Brick Church Cemetery, Guilford Co., NC.25 Buried in the Brick Church Cemetery. Brick Church records show that she was married 13 years and had 6 children, 2 daughters and four sons. Died age 33 years 10 months.
