John Mathais SWING was born in 1749 in Union Co., PA.⁵⁸ He died after 1832 at the age of 83 in Guilford Co., NC.⁵⁸ Private, NC continental Line from Guilford Co., NC. See page 435 "Roster of NC Soldiers in Am. Rev.", list has him as 86 in 1831.
