618. Henry Boone CLAPP⁴⁸⁹ was born on 10 September 1814 in Guilford Co., NC. He died falling from a ladder and breaking his spine on 3 September 1854 at the age of 39 in Jennings Co., IN.⁵¹⁹ He lived for a few hours after falling. Baptized 13 Nov 1814 by Jacob Sherer, Lutheran minister. In 1838 Henry and his brother, William Dickey Clapp cross the Blue Ridge Mountain trail in a carriage to move to Scipio, Jennings Co., IN. Henry clears land for a farm there.
